Based in Lethbridge and Pincher Creek, Celtic Routes are excited to be returning to the Water Valley Arts and Music Festival in 2025! From our humble beginnings in 2017 as an Irish ballad duo with 2 guitars and simple vocals,Celtic Routes (www.celticroutes.band) have added fiddle, flutes, whistles, pipes, harmonica, bass, bodhran, spoons, and strong vocals and harmonies to our ever-increasing repertoire of Irish,Scottish, East Coast and (now) Cornish music songs and stories. We love researching the stories behind the songs and songwriters, as well as the history behind the music, and sharing these stories as part of our performances. We have delighted audiences, large and small throughout Alberta from Crowsnest Pass to Medicine Hat and Cardston to Camrose, Edmonton, Edson, Sedgewick and Camrose at festivals, cultural events, clubs, pubs and private functions, celebrating our Celtic music, songs, and stories. Water Valley Arts and Music Festival is an annual highlight for us, and we can’t wait to see everyone again this year!
